Valentine Adams Biography

Born on February 14th (when else!), Val credits an overly romantic mother for the name Valentine, which accompanies a middle name of Hart, believe it or not. Educated in private schools through high school, Val went on to earn a BA in journalism, and an MA in creative writing and later a Ph.D. in American Studies.

After several years as a news reporter, both broadcast and print, the decision was made to return to graduate school to pursue another career entirely. That's when the American Studies doctorate came about. For the past several years, Val has been a college professor at an east coast state university

Val is the author of more than a dozen short story collections and novels including the bestsellers, "Soul Bond" and "Model Slave" and the soon to be released "Bound by Time" series.

Married once but not any longer, Val lives, to quote the author "within smelling distance of the Atlantic," with a roommate and a chocolate lab named Cap (short for Capuccino).
