"The Crimson Z", the latest production of Black Velvet Seductions, gave me two problems. The first was a pain in my neck and shoulders from leaning on my desk to read it almost all day. The second was a shortage of tissues at hand. I couldn't stop reading it! Five writers contributed to this anthology and one of those writers also wove the stories together to create a fantastic book! Robert Cloud is the coordinator who wove the stories together and he did a masterful job of it!
Novice writers Ric Savage and Kara Elsberry shine in this anthology. Cover artists for Black Velvet, each of them wrote their first stories and added much to the tears and smiles I felt when I read the book. Kara had me wondering and trying to figure out just WHO the character of Terran was and her light hearted story brought smiles to my lips when it was revealed who Terran was. Ric on the other hand brought me to tears. To find that depth of love that transcends even the tragedies of this story is something we all dream about.
Abby had me chuckling through places in her story as her ghostly character got into some mischief along the way to solving her murder and her lustiness certainly helped Anne to find Jason and the love she had been searching for.
Zacharias, Melanie and Lilith as brought to life by Robert Cloud are a mixture of love and hate, fear and caring that deepens with each successive page.
I haven't mentioned the first story in the book, "Love of a Pendant's Heart" because I don't want to toot my own horn! I think it's a story, and I hope you do, too.
I am very happy to be associated with this book! My fellow authors therein are fantastic and so is the book! I have no doubt that any of you who read it will totally agree with me. This book is awesome and I encourage you to delve into the stories of "The Crimson Z" and enjoy!
