Jerry is a philandering college professor, with an unhappy wife Marlene and a demanding girlfriend, a college coed Donna, who's about to spill on the beans about his infidelity. When Marlene argues with Jerry that their lives have got to change, he appeases her with empty promises - while extracting a promise from Marlene, that she will never leave him. Later that night, he takes off for an obligatory evening with his department chairman, Gill, an annoying and stereotypical lesbian bitch. While surprised to find that he's the only guest, he eases into the evening with a glass of wine and casual conversation about Gill's passion for training dogs. After a few sips of wine, however, Jerry starts feeling woozy and within seconds he passes out.
